In 2008, Affinity Dental Clinics opened its very first branch in Makati. Dentistry in the Philippines was very different then. For most people, a dental visit meant something basic — a cleaning, an extraction, or braces. Preventive care was not yet common, and many patients would wait until there was pain before seeing a dentist. When faced with a badly damaged tooth, it was far more common to have it pulled and replaced with dentures, while root canals and bridges were less familiar, and dental implants were rare and considered expensive.
From the beginning, we believed that dentistry had to be more than emergency care. Our mission was not just to treat but to educate. We went beyond the clinic walls — conducting dental talks in companies, visiting kindergartens to teach children about oral hygiene, and taking time to educate every patient who came through our doors.
Those first years were not easy. Between 2008 and 2015, we opened several branches one after another — Makati, Cavite, Bacolod, Cebu, Alabang, and BGC Stopover. There was no successful model for a dental chain in the Philippines back then. We had to learn everything ourselves, from how to maintain consistent quality across branches to how to build a system that upheld the same values everywhere.
It was a period of rapid growth, but also of lessons learned. Distance made it difficult to sustain some locations, and we eventually closed our Cavite and Bacolod clinics. These were not failures, but experiences that taught us the importance of sustainable growth. We realized that expanding too quickly was not the answer. Strengthening our structure, improving our systems, and developing our people had to come first.
Each new clinic after that carried the lessons of the early years.
In 2015, we opened our BGC Stopover branch, at a time when Bonifacio Global City was still growing. That clinic became one of our turning points, serving local families, professionals, and even international patients as the city developed into a global hub.
In 2020, we opened Ortigas — our first branch in Pasig — in response to the clamor of patients from the east and north who used to travel long distances to Makati and BGC for care.
In 2023, as the world began to recover from the pandemic, we opened BGC High Street. This new clinic allowed us to expand our services in BGC to meet the needs of both locals and patients from abroad.
And in 2025, we opened our newest clinic at Parqal Mall in Parañaque, bringing Affinity closer to patients from the south who used to make the trip to Makati.
Each clinic was not just another branch. It was a deliberate step to bring our standard of care closer to communities that needed it.
Perhaps the most defining milestone came in 2018, when we opened our new Makati clinic. It was the largest and most advanced facility we had ever built — with a spacious lobby, a sterilization room, a fully equipped operating room built to hospital standards, six private treatment suites, digital X-rays, and an in-house dental laboratory.
We also built spaces for our people — a conference room for learning and collaboration, and a proper pantry — recognizing that a good work environment for our team translates into better care for patients.
That same period also marked a massive reorganization of our entire practice. We restructured both our front and back-end operations and created a structured training program for our dentists. This was the foundation of what Affinity Dental is today — not just a group of clinics, but one of the most professionally managed dental organizations in the country.
Seventeen years of practice means witnessing the transformation of dentistry up close. We’ve seen:
We have embraced these changes — carefully, selectively, and always with our patients’ best interests in mind. Technology can improve diagnosis, treatment, and comfort, but the principle remains the same: first, do no harm.
At 17, we celebrate more than just survival and growth. We celebrate what we have built along the way:
The future for Affinity Dental is about more than new clinics or technologies. It is about building a lasting institution of dental care — one that patients and peers alike can trust for generations.
We will continue to invest in technologies that improve diagnosis, treatment, and patient experience. We plan to expand into more communities in the north and south of Metro Manila. We will keep training the next generation of dentists and strengthening clinical governance to world-class standards.
And we will also continue caring for the people who make Affinity what it is — our employees. Their dedication, loyalty, and hard work have built this institution, and we want the years they spend with us to be fulfilling and meaningful.
We are not here for fashion, virality, or celebrity. We are here to be the best we can be in dentistry — a practice admired by our patients and respected by our peers. When people face challenges with their oral health, we want them to think of Affinity Dental: not because we are the loudest, but because we have earned their trust through years of consistent, ethical, and expert care.
At 17, we remain what we have always been — a team of dentists and professionals guided by experience, grounded in integrity, and committed to creating smiles that truly change lives.
To all our patients who have trusted us for the last 17 years, our most heartfelt thanks. You are the reason we continue to grow, to improve, and to uphold the values that have guided us since the beginning. We look forward to many more years of serving you with the same integrity, care, and commitment that define Affinity Dental Clinics.
