What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are wafer thin layers of super strong porcelain bonded to the visible surface of your teeth.

There are two types:
1. Traditional Veneers – requires preparation or shaving of a layer of enamel to provide space for the installation of porcelain veneers. Because preparation is needed for this type of veneer, this process is irreversible.

2. No Preparation Veneers – does not require shaving of enamel. It is directly bonded to the surface of the teeth. Because there is no preparation needed for this type of veneer, this process is reversible. However, there are limitations and disadvantages to this procedure.
